"We chose moka.care because it's a holistic solution, capable of supporting us, the HR team, and all the Doctolibers. Having an international partner was also essential for us. "

Since its creation in 2013, Doctolib's mission has been to work for a healthier world. This mission translates internally into a strong commitment to taking care of its team. In 2020, Doctolib chose moka to help its teams manage the stress and work overload induced by the health crisis. Today, moka.care supports Doctolib in its acceleration phase to anchor care in teams in every country, and has become a must-have for teams.

Support 2800 employees and build a culture of care to adapt to a demanding environment

Why did you launch moka.care at Doctolib?

A culture of performance and care

Doctolib's mission is to work towards a healthier world by improving the daily lives of patients and healthcare professionals through a new generation of technologies and services. To revolutionize the world of healthcare, we need to start by taking care of our own teams.

Care is therefore one of the company's 4 core values, and is reflected in numerous actions designed to safeguard the well-being of our employees.

In 2020, the partnership launched with moka.care was perfectly in line with this logic.

Since then, the 2800 Doctolibers, spread across France, Germany and Italy, have had access to four individual sessions a year with practitioners moka, as well as to the application's content (articles, podcasts, videos on mental health topics). moka.care has also been used on several occasions within the company for conferences and group workshops.

Well-qualified team needs

The partnership with moka.care responds to several needs identified in the teams related to :

  • a phase of strong growth: since 2020, Doctolib's workforce has tripled and moved to offices in over 40 European cities. Such growth has been accompanied by regular reorganization of teams, which can be a source of stress in the workplace.
  • employee demand: with an average age of 30, doctolibers are particularly in demand of mental health services. According to a study carried out by moka.care with Jobteaser, 88% of young professionals feel that their company should play a role in their mental health.
  • strong emotional involvement: Doctolib's mission generates a high level of commitment from the team: employees feel invested and are convinced of the impact Doctolib can have on society. This goes hand in hand with a high level of emotional involvement in their work, which for some employees can translate into over-commitment.
  • a level of stress intrinsic to certain professions: some functions are more exposed to psychosocial risks than others. This is the case, for example, in support or customer service functions, which have to deal with frustration, dissatisfaction and urgency on a daily basis; or in sales teams, which may feel a certain pressure to meet quarterly targets.

A holistic solution

moka.care enables Doctolib to work on the 3 levels of health prevention defined by the WHO.

moka.care has opted for a global solution that supports both the company at a collective level, and its employees at an individual level, thanks to :

  • the quality and variety of the network of practitioners on the moka platform: psychologists, coaches and therapists moka are selected by psychologists moka in a demanding process.
  • Guided individual support, which makes it easy for everyone to take steps to care for their mental health: for example, thanks to an orientation call with a referral psychologist moka, employees are guided towards the practitioner who best matches their needs (depending on the practitioner's specialties, type of approach, etc.). This system reinforces the quality of the therapeutic alliance between the patient and the person consulting him or her.
  • the international dimension of the moka community and tools: Doctolib has offices in France, Germany and Italy. The international network of practitioners moka.care means that everyone can consult in their native language (and face-to-face, if they wish), and host conferences and workshops for all teams.
  • ongoing HR support thanks to a strong relationship between Sophia, Customer Care at moka.care, and the entire Doctolib HR team.

What are the results of this partnership?

Support moka.care has become a matter of course for the Doctolib teams.

Key figures :

  • 42% of employees regularly use moka.care
  • more than 2,500 individual sessions have been carried out with moka practitioners since the partnership was launched.
  • 95% of members are promoters of moka and would recommend the solution to their colleagues or friends. Doctolib employees particularly praise the quality of the practitioners, their professionalism and their ability to listen.

What is Doctolib's mental health roadmap for 2023 - 2024?

A prevention approach that involves managers

In 2023, Doctolib has decided to take its prevention approach one step further, offering its managers a quarterly workshop dedicated to the prevention of psychosocial risks

Objective: train Doctolib's 700 managers in :

  • understand the psychosocial risk factors in their teams,
  • know how to spot warning signs,
  • know how to respond.

Strengthening the links between mental health and performance

moka.care promotes a positive, preventive vision of mental health. Recently, Pierre-Etienne Bidon, co-founder of moka.care, and Céline O, psychologist at moka.care, spoke to Doctolib's French sales teams on the theme of "mental health and performance". Indeed, these teams are faced with challenges intrinsic to their profession: managing stress and the pressure of targets, self-confidence and the management of speaking during customer meetings, and so on.

Around a hundred people attended, and following the presentation, the sales team became the most frequent users of moka content and support. In particular, many of them have started coaching sessions.
